I received my new clutch shaft and fork this week, and I forgot to order a new pin so Decided to make my own, after measuring the hole in the shaft it was smaller than the hole that is up in the fork so I drilled the hole in the shaft to the same size at the hole up in the fork and so I purchased a grade 8, 7/16 bolt and put it in my drill press and using a file ground down the threads to fit the new hole and it fits perfect, I also drilled a new hole at 90 degrees in the center, 3/8 and added another cap head pin. All slop is gone, I feel confident it will hold up, seems this is what everyone else is doing

Looks nice! I don't think that set up will give you any problems!
I wonder if the pin the big 3 supplies is as strong as a grade 8 bolt?

The original pin was secured with a safety wire. If that is not practical perhaps threadlocker would be a good idea?

the Pin I made is 0.375 inch Diameter and I dont know what the originals are, and I tried to drill a hole thru the head and no way, so either I will use thread locker or I will make a locking tab and bend it over the fork some how to keep it from backing out, maybe tack weld a locking fixture, got time to think about it though
