TR2/3/3A New TR3 floor pans & rockers

I'm gathering parts parts for my tub rebuild this winter. A couple days ago I got 2 floor pans and both inner rockers. These parts were labeled made in the UK.

I set the inner rockers on the frame and placed the floor pans on top. What I noticed was a larger than original gap between the rocker and floor pan. The original looks to have about 5/16 inch clearance to flush. The replacement parts have about 5/8 - 7/8 clearance.

Could the original clearance be from settling over time or are the replacement panels this bad requiring additional major surgery?

Made in UK means made in UK. The question is made from or on what? The body stuff I get for my TR6 usually need some to major surgery to fit properly.
