Well, I broke down and couln't pass up this one! A 1955 TR-2, Signal Red with an off white interior, 2 owner, 56K, documented with wire wheels. It is in very nice shape, stored in a barn for the last 21 years. No rust other than the drivers side floor. A paint job, new interior, and a good engine compartment cleaning and I'm in business! I bought it for 2500 dollars..amazing. Now if I can get it to run. We turned the engine over with the crank and no problems. I'm going to replace all the fluids, drain the gas tank and replace all the tune up items and see if she will run.......I'll keep you posted

Congratulations and welcome to the world of the sidescreen! What a deal! How come this happens to everyone but me? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Seriously, I look forward to hearing how you fare.

What a great find, the sidescreen cars really have the most charm of all the cars in the series, and with that history!
Congratulations, there can't be many finds like this left!
Simon.

Thanks Mickey....I was going to just clean this car up and resell it, as I just bought a 1967 Charger to restore. My wife told me to keep it! Amazing! So I guess I'll start working on it, since the Charger is going to be a long term project.....

It's nice having a spouse that's into cars almost as much as I am...my wife's friends think she is nuts for letting me collect these LBC's....and the Charger is a whole other issue..ha!

Believe that Fosters would define her in Austrailian as a Keeper. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
