I sold my 1959 Abarth Zagato GT750 back in December after 30 plus years of ownership. Before I sold the Abarth I went on a world wide search for a new toy I found it. Now we just got to get her home

Cheers

Looks very interesting, though I'll admit I'm not recognizing it right away. I'm thinking Italian? 1980s?

You got it Drew

1977 Maserati Khamsin they made only 430 it's 4.9L 320hp 5 speed Bertone desgin.
Only 150 came to North America of which 47 of those have left. A true gas burner from the 70's

Cheers

Gandini sure knew what he was doing when he penned these cars. My shop neighbor was a Citroen and Maserati mechanic and took me for a few death rides in his Khamsin. What a car! The glass rear panel was clearly unusual, but that baby was a fine looking and driving supercar. Good for you!

Nice Marco! Is this the one from California?

WOOHOO!!

Quite a transition from the Zagato.

Looks like a speeding ticket just sittin there.
Congratulations on the find!

Very cool -- was thinking some sort of Maserati. That should be a *hoot* to drive around in. When's the delivery date?

320HP?! Niiiiice! way outta my league, but it's still easy on the eyes. Love it!

This is going to be a whole new learning experience
The Khamsin had several unusual features, such as DIRAVI power steering, with higher than usual assistance for parking, decreasing with speed, and a glass rear panel (between the taillights) below the rear window, giving reverse visibility surpassing most cars, especially similar sports cars. Also, the Khamsin had features like hydraulic seats and an adjustable steering column, which were innovative features at the time. Air-conditioning was standard on the Khamsin
The hydraulics are from Citroen a pump that runs off the engine makes 2500 psi it powers the seat, headlight covers , clutch, steering, and the brakes, then there are those 4 Weber duals on top of the engine
This going to be a real test

Cheers

It is splendid that you have the better of the two rear panel designs!

Course now you gotta get the bling - chains and hairy chest to go with it!

Those Carello light assemblies were shared with about every Italian car of the time. Great for "availability" issues.

I'll keep my yap shut with regard to the hydraulics... if the accumulators are good and everything works, you're gold, Mark.

Mark,

You obviously hang out with much higher class people
than me,but if I had your money,I might make the same purchases.
Why do you hang out with people like us?
