New toy on the way

I have a similar unit (it's 2 years old....only runs on 230V).

Works great!

I'm only doing steel and using a CO2 mix. No spool gun (yet).

Hobart Handler 120 here. Set up for gas, but I can only afford flux-core (Hate it) Been a great workhorse welder for years.
My cousin has your exact model welder for sale on the local craigslist right now. Never used. It probably would come out even after shipping costs....

Ben, mine came w/ the trial flux core and it welds good. Gotta keep the wire short and close to the hood.

Where on CL, I've been looking there.

He may have sold it. I just went looking for it, and couldn't find it either.
Glad to hear yours works well.
Mine does well with the flux core, it's just that much nicer with gas.

Everyone using flux core needs to google using flux core and breathing the smoke. It can do permanent damage to your lungs. Be CAREFUL!

Nial, spool gun on amazon for $189 shipped.

Ben, glad it's gone. Last thing I need to see is I could have gotten it cheaper.

Just found out coulda got the Miller 211 for $200 more. My buddy has one and it is a better made machine. I'll never wear mine out, however; I'll never wear mine out.

Thanks for the tip. That's a great price, but Father's Day has passed!

And yeah, Jim Browne is correct. The fumes from flux-core are hyper-nasty. The only time I've ever used the stuff was outdoors with a 19" box fan blowing the fumes away from me.

So your saying I shouldn't be inside the trunk using flux core wire to weld in some galvanized patch panels?
Calm down, I'm kidding.
For those who don't know, welding galvanized steel produces extremely dangerous fumes. Be careful of that too.

I spend big bucks to buy a remote air supply system which prevents my breathing any fumes.
