Poolboy here. That's a nickname and a sideline. I've been retired from the Health Dept.for 7 years, but after Hurricane Katrina, I went to work partime for a swimming pool company, building and repairing swimming pools. Guess where I spend that extra money.
Had way too good of a time in my first LBC, a 59 bugeye, in 1965 at LSU. I've had some nice sports cars over the years since, but there was a 20 year gap there without one.
The situation changed about a year and a half ago when I found a 74 TR6 on ebay. Though it may not have been all that was advertised (and what ever is?) it was still worth what I paid. I had a 500 mile drive to see it but seeing the car prior to bidding was important.
That Triumph is known around the house as Ol'BASIL.
Any way I am the same "poolboy" that you may have seen on 6-Pack and Moss Forums. So I hope to have a good time here as well. Have a good one yourself and see you on the Forum

Welcome poolbnoy...there are some LSU graduates here...but, I've gotta say:

<span style='font-size: 20pt'> <span style='font-family: Comic Sans MS'> <span style="color: #CC0000">ROLL TIDE!!! </span> </span> </span>

Thanks for the welcome,anyway, Tony. We'll see about the rolling a week from tomorrow. You do have a pretty good coach this year, so you might have a decent chance.

Glad to see someone else close to home. This is a good place on info and other topics. Where in MS are you. If you didnot know the English Motor club of MS has members in Jackson, Natchez, Vicksburg and other city. Not a member but have gone to thier show in Vidaila.

toolboy: you'll see me on the 50-yard line in the season seats right under the edge of the roof overhang!

That's POOLboy, Tony. You tryin' to start somthin'?
Thanks Don and Russ. Yeah, Don, I need to find some real, live, enthusiasts. I moved here from Hammond about 7 years ago. It's rural, but I love it: just no sports cars. A jeep isn't a sports car, is it?
I'm really not that far from Natchez and there are great roads getting there.Might have to look into that in the Spring.

Oops - sorry....hit the 't' instead of 'p'...

You Guys are really making me feel welcome, but by some of the things I've heard about ya'll, could be like the spider and the fly!!
Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained. Until I get better at this computing and picture posting the best I can do right now is post a link to my photobucket album.
So here goes.....I think? https://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee300/poolboy_album/

Hey Basil. Looks like I'm going to have to keep an eye on that guy.

Hey Poolboy;

Nice looking TR you have there:

Those "Nerf Bars" or "Up-Side Down" MGA Bumpers need to get changed!

Just a personal opinion;
