I have three TR-3A's and have had one of them for 37 years. Aguy who knows I have Triumphs called me last week and he said he knew a guy who wants to pass his 67 TR-4A to a new owner fast. He has had it for 35 years. He just had some serious surgery and knows he will not be able to manage it in the future. I read all the stuff about buying a TR-4A and it passed the test. There is some surface rust on the floor but truely surface that can be wire brushed and painted. The ONLY rust spot is above the hinge on the right door. I am new to TR-4s anyone want to share some experience with rust on door. It does not appear bad. I am making an offer on the car oin the moring and I kn ow he will accept. I guess I'll keep it. That is all the rust. Seats are acceptable for a driver. Dash and pad above dash need work but he has brand new as he was planning on exchanging. Top and tonneau are also OK. I was surprised at the lack of rust but he says he has kept it inside the whole time he has had it. I was also surprised the fiber board fan shroud is still in place and OK condition. It is a left hand overdrive car with wire wheels. I sem to end up with quite a few cars jsut by stumbling on them. I was not loking and never considered a TR-4. So here goes and I'll probably be asking for advise as I sort it out.
