Spitfire New Spitfire based Kit Car coming

I would like to see the first photo shopped with a set of moon eye or salt lake style rims. Anyone out there with the skills.

Not that I could ever see myself owning such a stunning car but is there any way to loose the external door hinges? That's the only thing that detracts from an otherwise perfect car design. Are they all going to be right hookers?

Thanks for the comments.

I am going to be building them in the US with left hand drive.

I plan to have the option of no doors, external door hinges, and internal door hinges.

The tail fin will be an option. When I have my website complete you will be able to look at the car from 3 angles, change colors with a click, see it with or with out the tail finn, and I am working on having different wheels options that can be changed with a click.

I think that the cool thing about this car is that with either a Miata or Spitfire donor it can be on the road for under 10K. This is with purchasing the kit, purchasing the donor and having it professionally painted.

Since it is not a replica it can be custom built to taste. John

I will admit that I am not that knowledgable about the Spitfire. Were the frames the same for all of the years of production?
In all important aspects, yes! The only notable differences are in front, where different years had different bracketry/structure for the bonnet pivots, and 1974 and later US cars, which had extensions of the main rails to support the reinforced "safety" rear bumpers.

Oh, and @booley, just where "near Andy" outside Albany are you?

Andrew, Thank you for the information on the frames. It's very good to know.

I am use to traveling a lot. So, any one with in a few hundred miles, I consider a neighbor!
