New Silicone Valve Cover gasket arrived

Ok I i understand the increment thing,but <span style="color: #FF0000"><span style='font-size: 26pt'>5</span></span> times???

That's what they say on the instructions from ARP, so that's what we did. I'm starting another post with pictures of stretched stock studs.

Paul, was a few years ago I installed my head with their studs,if that is what they recommended then I did the same thing!

Actually they just changed from three to five, from what I've read earlier.

Paul,
I just rebuilt my engine last winter and the instructions that came with the ARP studs at that time stated to torque them 3 times.
I wonder why they changed? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Roman,

I don't know when or why, but I did confirm and it is definitely five (5) times. I think that I threw the instructions away because they got oil and lube on them, but if not, I'll scan them and post.

Someone else here brought it to my attention. I'll see if I can find that thread.

Just thinking out loud. I re torqued my head after about 500 miles and everything has been fine for the next 4000 so the torque sequence change doesn't matter.
