New Server - Hows it working for you?

I know on my end it is faster than greased lightening! How's it working for you all? This processor is much faster than the one on the old server and my "pipe" (internet connection) is now 10 x faster than the one on the old server. The new Processor is an intel Quad Core with 8GB memory and the hard drive is a nice 1TB RAID 1 (basically two hard drives mirrored together so in case one drive crashes, the other drive should still be good.

Generated in 0.019 seconds in which 0.003 seconds were spent on a total of 12 queries. Zlib compression enabled.
 
Giving my computer some time to clear the cobwebs............

I find that the new server is REALLY fast. Think I like it. Thanks.
 
I notice my "Contact US" LLIve Help Icon isn't showing. It's Java Script, so probably some setting on the new server that needs to be fixed.
 
Working fine for me, but Tom (Nutmeg) sent me a note saying he was having issues. Waiting to hear back from him.
 
Yep - couldn't even connect to BCF between just after 7am EST and about 30 minutes ago.

Did anyone else have problems reaching BCF at that time?

I sent ping and traceroute reports to Mickey, to forward to Basil. Literally no response from www.britishcarforum.com or its IP.

Seems ok now. I wonder if the server log shows how many logins were done between 7am EST and 8am EST.

Server itself is very fast.

Still fast here, but I am getting a "Done, but with errors on page" message at bottom right taskbar. Don't see anything on the page to indicate any error.

The issue may be that the new IP addresses for the Name Servers hasn't fully propagated across the internet. Your issues my be due to the "path" you take at any given moment. Hopefully, after another day or two the new IPs for the name servers should have fully propagated and those kinds of problems should go away.
 
It's quite a bit faster than the old one. Glad it's back up. I was sweating it yesterday. Like others have said, it's become an addiction. You don't have to take my word for it, either, just ask the Mrs. :crazyeyes:

It is when I turn it on. I tried inviting several people to chat, but no one would take me up so I turned it off. (I'm talking about the Live Chat Help feature (Under the "Contact Use" heading on the left). The other "chat system" we used to have broke when I upgraded servers. Seems the program used some PHP commands that are not supported in the latest version of PHP. When I have time I will see if an updated version og that chat program exists, or maybe find another system.
