You'll like the Miata Seats. And you won't find your a__ melting into pleather seat covers in the Texas Sun anymore. Speakers in the headrests are a treat. I added a set of Bass Blocker capacitors, like $7.50 a pair over internet, Google Bass Blocker. Really help to keep from overdriving speakers in the headrests. A couple of different ways to mount seats in the car. I used a 1" piece of bar stock under the back seat mounts and just cut off front locating studs. Can reuse front inside stock seat mounting location plus 3 new holes needed.
Use backing washers or steel plate under seat floor.

Morris that will work. You will need to raise the rear seat brackets up 1" or so to keep the tracks level and parallel to the floor. I used the KISS Method and simply used a 1" piece of bar stock drilled holes at the end of the bar, seats BTW are different widths between mounting points in the rear, don't ask how I know.
I simply drilled 3 new holes and used much larger and heavier bolts than stock. The rear inside hole bolts through the original heavier U shaped channel that runs under the inside mounting holes. Position is about 2" or so behind original mounting hole.
I have the option of plugging 3 original holes of simply leave as is for cockpit drainage. They are under the seat and unseen. The bar I used under the rear seats is unseen as it is covered when seat is reclined.
Others on this forum have used a piece of pipe cut at a 30 degree angle or so to match up on one side with the floor and the other 30 degree angle side with the rear mounting points. I thought about trying to machine that tolerance with my band saw and decided I didn't want to adopt the new moniker of Les Digits.
Welding up a new adapter is probably the proper method but risk of saprks damaging Miata Seats well that's your decision. Just get them installed and you'll find you sit in the seat rather than "perch" upon a standard LBC Seat. Lateral support is fabulous compared to stock seats. And again the breathability factor is great.
