new seat pics

I replaced my seat covers with leather ones. NICE.
The old ones got covered in blue overspray at the
paint/body. Fine blue dust. I cleaned and cleaned to get them
presentable but that blue in the cracks drove me crazy.
The drivers side also had started a split in one of the seams
and had a bit of splitting where the roll bar rubs.
I have to say recovering the seats was a piece of cake.
I was even able to re-use the retaining clips.
The leather is soft and supple. Feels great.
AHSpares stuff has been excellent.
Right is the vinyl and left is the new leathers.
I went with black with black piping like the old
seats.

Well done.

And smells better!

Yea, bet it does smell great.

Lookin' good!

Did you replace the seat foams or just the covers?

The foam and the packing type stuff was in great shape
so I re-used it.

Give her a classy look, Gundy.

A leather interior in these cars always looks nice. :yesnod:

The seats were fine. Drove it about 90 miles today through the mountains. Up 178 and then down 276.
Stop for lunch in Brevard. The Square Root restaurant was
nice. I had fish and chips.
Wife had a fried green tomato sandwich.
Did some shopping and home all in about 5 hours.
Videos are uploading now.

Thanks for the drive! Nice ride, those seats sure look good from here. Golly... you sure got some trees out there.

Hay man, if you going to do that on a regular basis i got an extra hand grab for your wifes left hand. LOL

I told her to take that B of her's. Lord knows I'd NEVER mention
how much better Mimi does without a passenger.
Then I had to stop every few miles for shopping.
LOL...the ladies at Cotn, a ladies cotton apparel shop, came
out to check out Mimi. Owner had friend who drove a red one in college...years ago.
Lady with a VW bug convertible once owned a B.
In Brevard some SUV ran a 4 way in front of me. The other
cars blew horns so they slam on brakes and rammed that SUV into reverse. Thank God Mimi's horn works or the front would have been toast. SUV stopped backing about a foot in front of the Sprite.
Ahhhh... the ladies...ya gotta love 'em.
Scary!
My wife's a good sport. She rarely complains but I do try to back off when I see her knuckles getting white on the Oh Chit Bar.
:grouphug:

Mine will not even ride anymore in the BE. Says her Acura is just fine thanks.

Oh well, nothing sings like a well tuned A-40 with a pair of SUs.

Hi There David,

Hey; Next time You and Lynn are "Out and About"; Stop over the house for a Brew or somethin`.

Good Lookin` seats.

Regards,

Russ

I debated and debated with myself...I know, I know...
I had a least 3 fools in this argument. :jester:

Letting the wife read this response won out.
Good thing. She laughed out loud..for real.
I had no idea. She only cleared her throat a time or two
the whole trip. The taped pieces are the only "brisk"
sessions. We weren't pushing the pace and stayed within our lane
but I think next time she'll drive the B.
These cars ain't fun as a passenger. Riding shotgun with Hap swore me off of THAT.

Russ,
Saturday my Land Cruiser club, Upstate Cruisers, will be
holding their annual meet at Aunt Sues. Great bunch of guys with cool trucks. Sues will have a buffet breakfast for
us. Thing goes on all day with overnight camping/wheeling
up on Hwy #11. Maybe as many as 50 trucks. Join and hang around for the "must be present" door prizes. Cool stuff. Grand prize is a Warn winch. Tools galore. Service discounts.
Lynn is hosting a baby shower for my Great Niece. Big crowd.
I have to stay put but will make a dash down to UC Annual.
Want I should give you a call Saturday morning when I get the few minutes to get away? It'll be short notice but heck, ya live just down the road from Sues.
