New radiator for MKII Sprite

The original radiator in our MKII Sprite is functional but ugly. What are the best options for a new one? The usual suspects or is there something else out there that is better?

Well there is always the junkyard one the Frank C used to use. Look at Sprite Spot sites under Cooling and you can see the one out of a GM Metro and some of his pics. This are also available new, 3 row without the Radiator Cooler in something like a 12 x 12" format. Or go all out for a Custom Aluminum job for $400+ it all depends on your wallet.

I had mine re-done by a local rad shop - they added some cooling.

A-1 in Eugene, Mike is the owner.

Good wealth of information.

Good to know. We used to have local shops that did a great job but they have sold out or gone under. Means a trip to the big city

Throw away society. Can't fix aluminum radiators with plastic tanks. We spridget folks are doing our best to fight that trend though!

Kurt.

There's a guy south of Seattle, at a wrecking yard, who does great work and didn't flinch a bit when I brought in MK1 radiator. He just fixed it up and replaced some parts and charged me $60 bucks and called it a day.
A real codger, but does good work for reasonable money.

Just be sure to get the old codger, he's the best.
You will know when you see him, missing teeth, disheveled, looks like he's been sleeping under a rock for about 26 years.

I think his name is Jerry - IIRC.
