Traded a 99 VW Passat for this Gem! Cant wait to drive her! The guys daughter blew the head gasket in her BMW and needed a car to get back and forth to school. The car has a shot motor (cracked block). The deal is he get to take it for a drive when it is done.

Oh, that looks good! Congrats!

The motor had a knock. Took it apart and saw the number 4 connecting rod wiped out a bearing. Decided to strip the rest of the block. As I was removing the cam it was hanging up. Looked a little closer and saw a crack on one of the cam webs.
I have a loaner motor (out of a TR250) to get me down the road until I find a new block.

S-W-E-E-T......

With a red head too!!

How about that coincidence, Don????

I dropped by the shop yesterday to talk to you and saw the yellow TR6 in there, it's absolutely beautiful! I'll try my best to stop by some other time this when you're around

looks like a nice project. Is there any major rust?

Everything on the front end was removed. The floor boards should be replaced. Other than that the rust issue isnt too bad.

Nothing wrong with yellow if you want a car to stand out. Always heard it is a magnet for bugs though?

Took my black overriders off 15 yrs ago: now I starting to like the look of the black battering rams again. With the bonus of adding some protection to my tail from drivers who are too busy texting to watch where their going!

Cheers,

Doug

Im looking to make this a daily driver. Imay do some unorthodox things. I have already stripped and repainted the engine bay to satin black. I also put in a dark grey carpet.
The car does have some rust issues but not too bad. Some day I will redo the entirte car, but for now I just want to enjoy it while the Spit is off the road.

That is true, but it really only happens on bright, sunny and humid days.....really...not if it's hot and dry.

And Don, Tom is not a K.A., he just has good taste.

Mine's the same color.I didn't care too much for it when I bought
it,but it's grown on me over the years.Give it some time.
Yellow also seems to attract bees,& I don't mean MG's.
