Looks preaty darn good in the pics. you did a heck of a job.

Looks pretty darn good to me! How'd you configure your paint booth? Two key components to a great paint job...tons of prep work and a clean environment.

I learned plenty when I did mine. Got to be real clean when you lay down the clear. I would use speed clear so it doesn't give the bugs as much time to land.

Nice work, Zimmy. You should certainly be proud of your work there.

well, thx guys,
its not perfect, but its as
close as im gonna get without
goin insane!!!
its single stage so no clear coat,
just a polish and waxing....

my makeshift plastic paint garage
wasnt working so well, so i painted
yesterday before the rain came because
it was nice and still outside.....
it has a few specks here and there
and a spot or 2 that might need work,
but overall im happy with it and
even more happy that its "done"!!!
ill be buffing it out and putting
the parts back on this next week,
then more pics.......z

Zimmy,

looks about 1,000 times better than mine, which was my first attempt. I think you should be very proud! I am jealous, can't wait to get mine all set to be resprayed!

Nobody should be embarrassed by their first (or second, or third) spray job. I'm impressed by anyone that tackles this sort of project on their own regardless of the results. The spirit of "doing it yourself" and not being afraid of learning new skills is very admirable in my book.

Good Going Zimmy!

uh, no more car painting for me!!!!
well, unless its for alot of $$$$....haha ..
getting one perfectly smooth could take
months!!!
ask me how i know!...z

Beautiful, zim!! & you did it yourself!!

Really nice job! I wish I had the courage to tackle that kind of project!
