New [Old] Wheels for the Red 'Ropa

I bought a set of original "Lotus Brand" alloys for the Europa off of EBay about a month ago. Always a risky proposition, but they were in remarkably good condition considering. I did refinish the faces however as there was some pitting and the existing laquer was getting funky. Used the Eastwood charcoal grey wheel paint which is a near perfect match to the original colour. Also coated them with clear laquer. Used 3M abrasive pads for the finish on the "brushed alloy" surfaces.

Lookin good:

The front tires are Sumitomo 185/60 R13s, and the rears 205/60 R13. No rubbing and the fatter tires on the back look great. Drive pretty well too!

The wheels were $350 the set of the 'bay, the tires about $50 a piece, but the stainless nuts and washers were the expensive items - $165 the set. But worth it!
