I have finally had a little free time late this afternoon put on some rims and old tires on the Sprite. I will move the car outside tomorrow to get more pictures. They are P//S industries copies of the Dan Gurney/ LAT70//Hands rims of the 60’s and early 70’s. They are 13x5.5 with a 2.75 center running p155/80/13 tires. I like the look and would like to find a center caps for them and would like a recommendation for a good street tire?

Hap sells an LAT70 for the Sunbeam Tiger, but I have only seen one B/E with these. Here is a picture of my car with the stock rivet rims.
Regards
Paul

Thanks Rick.
At lunch I put the rear tire on and got this picture. The tires are 15 years old; they look good, however I do not trust them. I figure the wider tire will give me a better ride and they will be safer than the stock rims. They seem to fill the wheel arch well, and there in no danger of rubbing.

Paul

I like them too Doug! Remember when you found the the car for me? Not a $500 car anymore!

PAUL,

You do nice work! I'll let you redo my MGs,
& won't even charge you.
Have you shared pictures with the guy you bought
it from?

No I have not. I never got an email address.

J-P wins! Hopefully they are the correct size! I will email them.

Hurray. Funny story, when my order came they for some reason had forgotten two clips (all the caps were there) and, bizarrely included a tire stem for air. They (of course) fixed it instantly but we had a hilarious converstation about the mix up - nice people

Kuhmo Solus are MiniVan Tires and carry a UTOQ Rating of over 4 or 500. I found some tires from Walmart, Nexen IIRC, a 30k mile tire with a UTOQ Rating of 225 or so. Much softer rubber compound. And if money no object Vredstein makes a period looking Tire that handles very well.
