Hello fellow Brit car lovers. I'm Greg and I've signed on awhile ago and just now checking in. I am currently restoring a 1959 Austin Healey Bug Eye Sprite (AN5L5592.)I have owned this car since 1979, put it in storage, never driven it, kids are grown, I'm 65 and now finally working on the motor. Going with a stock 948cc and modifying it for a negative ground Alternator. I live in the Mojave desert, California. Happy Trails.

GM - welcome to the forum.

You bought the Sprite in 1979, never drove it, and it's been in storage for almost 40 years! Wow - you are a man with great self control!

Keep us posted as the work progresses, and feel free to ask questions over in the Sprite/Midget forum.

Welcome to the BCF GM! You've come to the right place.

The Mojave Desert is not exactly what first comes to mind when thinking of the ideal climate for old British cars, but perhaps you can share some cooling secrets?

Good luck with the restoration.
