This post replaces one from a few days ago. Strangely, after several responses, that one went out into the ether, never to be seen again.

I just got a 1973 Midget project that I know very little about. Hoping to be able to ask a lot of questions for sage advice here.

Where would I look for a smaller steering wheel?

Thanks

Thom

Can anyone tell me what an MGC model is? I have a Midget but in the heading list, it didn't allow that. I know it's not a B,F or any of the others. Is a Midget a C?

Thanks

Thom

Thom, you are in the wrong neighbourhood. This is for "Big" MG's - Midgets are on the spridget forum. hopefully a moderator will move you over.

MGC was a six cylinder MGB.

Smaller wheels are pretty readily available. Moss has them - but you can find them online - you might need a boss but they are available too.

cheaper example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volante-...Midget&hash=item48a2792c08:g:XT0AAOSwDiBZMDAq

see you at the spridgets!

(Moved you over to the Spridget forum.)

Welcome!

For a smaller wheel, you might want to look at MotoLita (or the Moss Motors Tourist Trophy version). Going smaller does add a surprising amount of room if you're a bigger guy.

Welcome aboard!

I own a '69 Sprite. I really didn't know squat about cars when I bought it. The fine people on this forum have been an invaluable help to me. Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like. We've all been in your position at one point.

In case you haven't figured it out.....Spridget is an abomination of a Sprite and a Midget. Essentially the same badge engineered BMC car.

Thans, all! I realize now that I'm in the wrong neighborhood! I will be REPOSTING AGAIN in the Spridget section. Take care!

Thom

I already moved your thread over for you, so no need to repost it -- though do post more about your project!
