New Midget, Yes another one

Hmmm... so... if it is 9800x, then why does it have RWA? PO swap? Switched VIN?

Do we have a mystery on our hands?

That engine is in the same era as the VIN; early '71. I've read that the pilot run of the RWA was made in May of '71 when the square Midgets were still in production (and using the 12CJ engines). I wonder if you have one of these pilot RWA's.

Chris, Do you have any idea where you read that?

I think it was in Horler's Original Sprite & Midget.

First round arch cars were made in Oct 1971.

12CJ 21201 thru 43617 was made Aug 69 thru Jul 71, Application North American evaproative loss.

"the very first Round Arch Midget was assembled in May 1971".

I blame it on this high speed site. Ahh, site provider.

If it is a late 74, my junker was in the last 1,000, it probably has the thick flanged motor that has no oil pasage above the center main. If you want to build a race motor, this is the place to start. What a find.

Are you saying that this red midget below is in demand?
I'd be happy to supply if someone wanted to pay what I've spent on it in the last 6 months!

RWA with early 'rare' Rostyle wheels is worth something....I have the same wheels for my RWA!

The '71 I used to have was not RWA. Guess I'm in the minority, I prefer the non RWA.

I'd better be worth something, Jack & Hap just talked me into keeping the SUs.
I hope someone outbids me on that manifold! Please!

I agree with them - keep the SU's.

Can't argue with two Yodas.
I hate that jedi mind trick.

Loverley midget Ben, might have to get me a wooden steering wheel, christmas is a coming.

You know what I like about the round arch midgets besides that, they have real vent windows.

I got to set in one some time for size.
