After wanting a British car for a while, I finally have one. I have only seen pictures so far, but it will be here tomorrow and hopefully it won't be too rusty. I'll probably have plenty of questions, and if anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it. That's all for now.

Congrats & welcome...what year Midget? Oh, you'll find the Spridget Forum full of "youse guys".

Welcome, Mark -

We've a fair bunch of Spridget owners here. Get yourself over to the Spridget Forum and post away!

Welcome Mark!
Your '76 Midget is similar to my '78 race car. It will have the Triumph-designed 1500 engine and trans that is shared with the same-year Triumph Spitfire.
Older versions of the Midget ('74 and back) used the Austin-sourced "A" series engine and Austin trans (which is quite different).
You will find much info here on Midgets and related Sprites (collectivley called "Spridgets").

Welcome Mark! I have a 77 midget and I'm always glad to see new owners jouning in. Having started out having to learn how to turn a wrench...these guys have walked me through and now I'm not just a midget Owner but I drive a midget too! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif
