New MG Midget Owner

A month or so ago I posted that I was the new owner of a 78 MG Midget. I purchased the car in Southern California. Before the auto transport company picked up the car the owner's wife wrecked the Midget. That deal was killed and I started to look all over again.

Yesterday I purchased a blue 1976 MG Midget. It really looks great and has 55K miles. The paint and interior are new. I should have the car in a week. I'll post some pictures after the car arrives. It has been 4 or 5 months since I started to look for a Midget and I think I found a nice one.

I look forward to talking with the members of this forum. I'm sure that I will have questions. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hey! how close will you be to the new MG facility. Isn't it going to be in Oklahoma?
 
Thanks everyone. I hope that the trucking company picks the car up on Monday or Tuesday. I like the rubber bumper Midgets and can't wait to drive it. I'll post some pictures.

The new MG facility will be in Ardmore, OK (near the Texas/Oklahoma border). The U.S. headquarters will be in Oklahoma City with development work at the OU campus in Norman, OK.

Well I tried to upload 3 .jpg pictures of the MG Midget on this website under "pictures" but it didn't work. All I got was a big blank page. I'll try again later.
 
It appears that I did get 1 picture loaded. I guess you can only load 1 picture a day. Let me know if you can see the photo. Thanks.
 
I get a note saying it is pending approval. I guess Basil needs to verify that it is a worthy LBC. ;-)
 
Good luck with the Midget. My knuckles are showing battle scars already and I've had mine about 6 weeks.
 
Yea they want to make sure it's not your girl friend.
 
You should be able to see a picture of my "new" 76 Midget in the photo section. Let me know what you think. I'll post more pictures later.
