Hello everyone, I have been reading the informative post since I became a British car owner again. Thanks Basil.

My Dad and I restored many British cars together in my youth. Sorry, but we became interested in 55-57 Chevy's and muscle cars. My login name is from my '94 Mustang Gt convertible that is NMRA street stock drag prepped car. So much for intro, I'm just an old gear head now.

'74 Midget followed me home, literly. Rust galore and a grinder away from some new panels. The car is rough so I plan to make the body back to good shape for the next owner, and in respect to the restoration guys. Rebuild it don't crush it and all that hub bub. You guys live for SpeedChannel as well. However, the car is now in bare sheet metal 3 hours since home and is on it's way to a fun autocrosser for my 13 year old son and I. By the way the Mustang will be his. Sorry. I am also going to build me an A.C. Cobra car with a 460.

I have gone on too long. Please welcome me with my ignorant questions and embelish me with technical data.

P.S. My family history is from the U.K.and I only drink british ale if it helps. And I make my own.

Someday I can tell you offline about the time I was taknen to jail with a good friend of mine for many infractions. I was in a built '74 tr6 and he was in a 240z. We wre 16 and 18. We were caught by a hemi satelite interceptor. That's when I went back to muscle cars and street racing was safer.

Plus I got tired of changing rear axels. Those buggers broke u-jounts more often than I cracked open a fresh cold one.

Welcome to the forum. I recently had a '74 follow me home, too. Very little rust, but it will have to wait its turn in line.
