Hello, I don't have a Jag but I have always liked the looks of the XJ6. I'm going to look at a 1988 tomorrow. I noticed that the body style changed in 1988. Did it get a new engine that year also?
The only British product I have ever owned was a '72 750cc Norton motorcycle. I hope their cars are better!

Welcome to the BCF! The Basic engine didn't change on the XJ6 - same 4.2 Litre straight six dual overhead cam they've used for years. May be some minor tweaking, but same basic engine (and a darned good engine in my humble opinion)

Basil!

PS: Let us know what happens after you look at the XJ6!

Pick up a copy of Hemmings Motor News...tons of Jags for sale all over the country!
