Hello everyone! I'm the newest member and I live in Clear Lake Texas and work at NASA. I just purchased a 1961 TR3A. It's red with sand interior, wire wheels and everything is stock. No rust and the paint looks good for now. The car has a soft top frame but no side windows. This will be my first upgrade. Here in Texas the weather seems to always be 92 degrees, 92% humidity and 30% chance of rain during the spring and summer! This is my first British car in years and I'm really looking forward to driving it.
I had a 59 Bug Eye Sprite when I was in the Air Force stationed in Georgia in 1965 and a MGA later when I returned from Viet Nam. I loved driving those cars.
Any comments on insurance. I see most classic car insurance writers don't want you to drive your car.
Thanks for all the good information on the posts. I have reviewed a lot of them.
