Hello,
As requested an intro on me, looking forward to chatting to you and picking your brains.
BIO:v
  • British living in the UK
  • First car Ford Anglia 105E - loved it
  • 2nd 1967 MGB roadster
  • Having sold her as I was posted to Vancouver, and after a few months settling in I bought another same model in superb condition from a retired marine engineer who had the car upgraded modestly- Weber, Koni rear shockers, head work and hi lift cam, free flow manifold. She went beautifully with no hint of her cosmetic intrusions. She served will during Canada moves and bore plates for BC, PQ and Ontario.
  • Later posting led her to be shipped back to UK for storage for my return later while I was elsewhere. I still have her after 52 years!
  • Jaguar love affair started as a small kid when I was treated to a ride in a Mk II .
  • 1st Jag was 1988 V12 series III Sovereign and followed by a 1998 XJ8 4.0 4 litre, and finally 1971 E type Series III ......which prompts me to join tour Forum!!
Regards

Philip

Yes, what a beauty, my dream car for many years. When I bought mt Anglia the same dealer had Mk VII for sale-ÂŁ150 !!. I think then not many could afford the petrol annd those that could probably bought new ones. Cheers Reg

Red - my Mk VII (double overhead cam, four speed plus Borg-Warner overdrive) got 8 mpg. Not for the faint of heart - or faint of wallet.
