Hi,
I live in Michigan and love working on British cars.
I've had quite a few over the years.
I currently drive a 65 Austin Healey BJ8 MKIII, it's a 20 footer and I drive it everywhere.
South Dakota, Vermont, Kentucky (almost every year), South Carolina, Galena, Ill, etc, usually taking back roads.

I've installed an alternator, Toyota 5 speed, relays and fuses, CB radio, cruise control and a few other mods to help on long drives.
I did have Miata seats, yet my wife didn't like how close to the dash is made her feel. (gee I miss them).
Two years ago I drove a Healey (for a friend) out to LV. No Tach, No Speedo, no Cruise, no radio...It was blast.
This spring I flew out to LV to drove the same car to California for Healey Week. (wow)

good on you for using it so fearlessly, welcome!

Welcome to the forum, Tom! Nice looking Healey! We have a fairly active Healey forum here so be sure to jump in to our Healey forum.

The best road trip ever is in a LBC in my opinion. Always fun ,always memorable and you get to meet people
wherever you stop that have a soft spot for top down travel.
Glad to see that you have the spirit Tom.
