My name is Jeff and I live in the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont. My wife and I recently purchased our 2nd MGB roadster. The first was a 1971 roadster
and this one is a 1977. I don't do much posting and am not fond of computers. It has been about 25 years since we had a MG so when we bought this one I
thought I would look into forums such as this. Ours is a "driving" car that will never go to shows but that is what we wanted. Looking forward to reading and seeing
what is out there for parts sales and tips for overcoming problems. Enjoy!

Welcome Jeff and glad you are here even with the love/hate computer relationship. In terms of parts Mossmotors is prbably the biggest. People are increasingly shopping from the UK as the exchange rate is favourable and shipping is often quicker. MGOCspares.co.uk is one that springs to mind. Increasingly people are having issues with parts made of chinesium. This includes metric interspressed with imperial and poor tolerances - sigh - lowest bidder and supply chain issues - so, there are parts that you might want to refurbish instead. In terms of tips, this is an excellent place to start with a huge coporate knowledge. I would also suggest youtube - especially videos by John Twist of University Motors - https://www.youtube.com/c/Universitymotorsltd

Thanks for the info. I am well aware of Moss Motors as they have bought all the other companies that I used to purchase from. I don't care for the idea of only one source for new parts - no competition. I have never purchased from overseas and am not sure of the process but I will be looking into it. You are correct about the quality issues as I have already purchased a few things from Moss that came from China et al. One other person has mentioned John Twist to me and his work.
