Greetings!

I've been on the british car scene for about 10 years now (got my first project spitfire at 14!). My most recent acquisition came from my dad, it's a '58 wagon that i'm doing a serious overhaul on! Some of you may have seen pics on other forums.

I love it, neat car. What's the engine size? Same as the TR4?
I wonder just how many different marques used those same Lucas bee hive lamps?

I believe it is the Triumph Estate Wagon, or some call it the Herald Wagon, or Tr10 (unoficially)

And if i'm not mistaken, the original engine size was 948cc...Not anymore. Now it's...6,000 CC!! look at the link...

It was the Standard 10 in the UK, sold here as a Triumph because of name recognition. Decent little cars, a viable alternative to the Morris Minor.

The British licence plate underneath the California plate on the rear is from a 1972 vintage car, by the way..... The authentic plate for 1958 would have been raised white letters and numbers on a black plate, or stamped silver on a black background. There would have been three numbers followed by three letters, and the letters "I", "Q" and "Z" would not have appeared. :laugh:

Steve-Thanks for the info! Do you have a pic of the appropriate vintage plate? Somebody told me that mine was incorrect, but that was all he could tell me.

I too started at 14 (now 39) and it was on a 1959 TR3A, what a great looking Triumph you have there!! I've honestly never seen one. Keep us posted on the progress/updates and enjoy this forum as I have for years now. Again, a warm welcome!
