Greetings,

I finally managed to get back on here to say hello.

I run an Imported car repair in Upstate NY. I've been brought up on triumphs, and a 71 Spitfire was my first car. Prior to that time, my Brother and his friends had sportscars that I soon learned how to work on. A 72 MGB, Datsun Roadster, 240z's, amongst others.

My first memory of such sportscars was when I was 4 yrs old. My second cousin(some of you may know him; Robert Koval)had a 63 TR-4 that we got to ride in, to go to a local farm for corn.

As of last year, he has given The TR to me. Needlss to say, I was shocked, but extraordinarily honored to be considered only the second owner of this virtually perfect car! BTW, it has nearly 1/2 million miles!!

Between times I have had countless triumphs, a Bugeyed Sprite, Datsun roadster, etc. Fortunately, years ago, I talked my Mother into purchasing a TR-250. She used to drive all of our cars, but I was never able to find the time to restore it. The 250 is now tucked away in the back of my shop awaiting it's turn. She also has given that car to me, which will remain in the family.

Currently, I drive a 85 Lotus Esprit Turbo, which is fairly modified, and a 87 Porsche 924S. Everyday winter work is conducted by a 97 Toyota Landcruiser w/ diff locks.

As time permits, I will try to contribute as much as possible. I also have started to incorporate a series of 'curiosity' pictures in my two websites. Pics of the Lotus, etc, can be seen here Esprit Performance I will be adding pics of the othe cars I have, especially the TR-4.

Thanks for the welcome!

Nice intro, and welcome to the forum!

Hi There Esprit,

"Welcome" to the club of "LBCs" on the "BCF".

Your Esprit looks really good (007 style).

Have fun here,

Russ

Welcome Esprit,
Sounds like you have the LBC sickness bad. You'll fit right in I'm sure.

Welcome to the BCF. Whereabouts in NY are you?

Welcome aboard from your neighbor in NYC.

Welcome from another easterner! You've owned many of the same cars I have.

Also: I have seen Prof. Koval's TR4 and have even spoken with him (though it was years ago, and I doubt he'd remember). It's great that you will become the caretaker of that car....pictures!

Welcome to the internet's best forum. It sounds like you will fit right in, and we should see you posting in lots of different forums over time.

Hopefully our East Coast weather will soon allow for consistent road time for our LBCs. And as aeronca65t said, we want lots of photographs...

Enjoy the ride.

WOO-HOO!! 'nother Lotusphile!!! Welcome to th' Den of Iniquity!
