Hi, my name is Charlie. After decades of LBC ownership, I thinned the herd a few years ago to include a 1974 TR6/OD, a 1978 Spitfire 1500, a highly prepared 1971 GT6 with Rotoflex, and a 1969 MGB. I was a dedicated SCCA road racer (F600) for 16 years and got sidetracked from the English fleet. I now wish to revive my passion for LBC's. Nice to be part of the knowledge base that exists here.

Howdy! F600 (formerly known as F500) is a very fast, small, open-wheel formula class using 600 or 500 cc engines sourced from motorcycles or snowmobiles. Lightweight mini-Indy or Formula cars run primarily on road courses throughout the country (think Lime Rock, Road America, and so on) sanctioned by SCCA and other groups. A grueling schedule entailing a fair bit of travel - or not! It all depends on one's commitment and goals. Fun!

Welcome to the gang! By the way...does the name Tom Blaney ring a bell? Used to run SCCA and was a national champ in I think GT3. Back in the day. Then he coerced me into his pit crew for 12 hour enduros at many of the same tracks. This was in the 2004-6 time frame. We ran ITA Honda CRX...Mini rocket...

Thanks. Tom Blaney in the Honda context rings a vague bell, probably from the SCCA Run-Offs. East coast guy? We have raced with various sanctioning bodies, the last nearly 20 years were with the SCCA. We raced every Run-Off except for one or two, we took off for family reasons. I raced a Prod car (Triumph GT6) successfully and other door-slammers, too; Panoz, TR6 etc. So we tried to watch everything we could after our sessions. Started with a BSA 441 Victor in scrambles. Car folks constitute a great community!
