Just finished body off restore of a TR3. Commission indicates '59 manufacture, titled as '61. All but the crank turn, sleeve bore and balance was my work. Brought the car home in August 2007. Work was very part time and learning to weld sheet metal and paint (blew over two gallons of acrylic urethane color)took up lots of time. Had a TR3 in the late 60's that I sold to buy a jeep. Mechaniced at a BMC dealer in Miami for a couple years after college.

I am a VTR member, but I like this forum better. Judging by traffic, others do too.

Welcome Bob!
I owned a TR3 back in the day too. It would be great to have another (but I'd have to build a bigger garage first).

Welcome!! :savewave:

Hi Bob, Welcome to the asylum!

Yeah, not too much happening on the VTR forum. It's a relative newcomer, BCF has been around a lot longer and had time to build a large following.

Hi Bob,

A bit late coming but "Welcome" to "THEE" best LBC Forum anywhere. I`ve owned 3 TR3s and my last acquisition was a `57 Small Mouth (Body Off, Nut & Bolt) Restoration well under way.

I got an Itchy Trigger Finger to be driving something and sold the TR3 to a local gent. Hence; I came across a real sweet `73 Alfa Spider that I`m driving right now.

There`s no doubt that if History repeats itself; I`ll be back in the saddle of an LBC within 2yrs.

Have Fun,

Russ
