I am trying to replace my windshield in my 74 midget. I have the windshield frame off of the car and partially disasembled top off and one side piece. I am trying to get the new gasket and windshield back in the frame. I cant get it to seat in. Any tips would be apreciated.
 
Totally disassemble the frame and thoroughly clean the channels. Then put the top and bottoms on. (you may want to use a little glycerin). Then put the sides in place (with corner brackets attached). Carefully squeeze the sides into place by placing a lashing strap around the windshield and ratcheting it tight.

J4 not sure how the channel rubber is designed on your specific windshield but another thrick if the glass needs to slip into the channel is to put a cord/string into the rubber channel first..then start a corner of the glass into the chaneel then pull the string out as you push the rubber around the glass...I watched them do it that way on my 911..of course they made it look easy!!!
