Hi All from old time Brit’ car guy
New member, have had the British car addiction since hischool (40 years ago omg !), 1st one a ‘67 Sprite. Been in the car biz since, mechanic, foreman, parts man, advisor, service manager, shop owner (all European service & restoration), pretty much every aspect. Since late 70’s always European, and always with some kind of British ragtop lurking about, beaters to show cars. Current is bringing a ‘67 ‘B’ back to life. Bought as an sad abandoned thing left over from someone’s “collection”. Over last year worked on reassembling little at a time as E-Bay sale $$s allowed. Collecting all needed bits and pieces needed for eventual resto’ and using it as my back & forth to work thrasher in the meantime. With the eventual theme to be as original looking and ‘period’ correct as possible. With upgrades being “60’s” correct, but daily driver functional. I like the lightweight theme of the ‘67. Started W/correct OE dash finish, switches, gauges and a period correct Becker radio & Nardi wheel. Late O/D & alternator. But I’ll hide seat heaters, MP3, 2 speed wipers and some HID lights in the Lucas tripod units. Saved my pennies and now it’s completely apart for a bare metal redo in BRG / wires & black leather. Always lookin’ for 60’s MGB race pics. Cheers!
