Hi All,

New member joining from Minnesota. Happened to come into contact with a memeber when my cars were stolen and were being sold on craigs list.Had i been a member of this forum i would have found out sooner that the guy was peddling them on Ebay as well. Tom from Rochester answered my ad which i put on VTR and helped me quite a bit to find out more about what was going on with the sale of these cars. ( Thanks Tom )

Currently dealing with the police but i am not sure if i will be able to get my Tr 2 back since it was sold on Ebay and may be going to a different state or out of the country ! I informed ebay as well but i doubt they will do anything either. if anyone has more information i like to hear from them as well. Sorry to introduce myself into this forum with an issue like this but i had to do this because i am more sad than mad about what happened.

I was also informed by a friend in california that anything metal including car parts are being stolen from farm country and being sold as scrap. my friend lost his fenders from a MG TF and a Triumph 1800 and other parts as well. So we need to be vigilant and keep all cars insured which i did not do this instance and I am paying dearly for it. Thanks everyone for posting about the cars that i lost.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum. What a sad story that is. I wish you all of the luck in the world in recovering your cars.

So very sorry for this sad event. It is one thing to have your car stolen but to not know what happened to it is another situation - to think of it being stolen for scrap metal, well...
I for one have an emotional attachment to my cars, my Healey especially. It holds too many memories to just think of it as a 'car.'

Anyway, welcome to the forum. We're a good group here.

Wow! What a bummer For Sure!

I`m sure all will work out in the end.

Best Wishes,

Russ
