I just joined and thought I introduce myself. I'm Dan from Alabama and have a 1980 TR7 that I bought new. Yes, I have had this car for 25 years, hard to believe. It is a fun car in pretty good shape but as most of these cars it always needs some work. It only has 67,000 original miles and everything is original equipment except the tires and top. It has several things that need attention so I will be posting messages from time to time seeking help and advice. I can offer some as well as I have tinkered with it for so long. Hope to hear from some of you.

Welcome aboard. Its always good to get to meet another Triumph owner. If you ever need anything, from a laugh to technical help than you've found the right place.

Welcome aboard. I'm sure our resident Wedgeheads will chime in as well. Always nice to see an original owner who made the right choice and kept their Triumph!

Good to hear from you!
The wedges seem to be gradually earning the respect of the Triumph community and gaining popularity. My view is that they are pretty nice cars, and I would quite like to own one (or an MGB GT) to extend the season.
I'm sure you will make a lot of new friends.
Simon.

Excellent, another Triumph fan. Welcome aboard Dan and have fun.

Welcome Dan!

Like you, I've had my TR4 for a long time (now going on 30 years), but I can't say I bought it new. In '62, when the car was new, I was mostly driving Matchbox cars across the living room rug. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Enjoy!

Welcome Dwillis,
You have made a good choice to join this forum, lots of great folks and lots of fun too.
I have a 78 TR7 and just spent today, which is probably the last nice day of the year, enjoying it for the last time this year... Filled up tank, Stabil in the tank, tires pumped up, ready for the barn....
Stick around and you will blend right in I am sure.

Paul

Nice to see you aboard. Don't be a stranger. Some of us may be a little strange, but we're never strangers on this forum.

WElcome aboard matey. This is a great place. Great people who are willing to jump right in and share their expierence. If only the world could get along as well as Triumph owners. Oh well enough dreaming.
