Good Afternoon from Mt. Pleasant (Chs), SC

My MG TD '53, 'Ground-Up Restoration’ began in 1976 (after reading too many Hemming's Motor News!;) - when youngest son was born - multi tasking was a lot easier, then!

Wife always likes to say (last 45 years - chimes in while I'm bragging), "He took it apart when the baby was born - baby's been out of the USAF, plus a 20 year business career - he still doesn't have it back together!!"

Resurrected this project April 2019 (retired 2nd time) - dream since '60: smitten by TD & redhead driving it; lost the girl - but finally got the car - 15 years later!

'She' (the car) is in the 'SPA' (Simon's Balancing & Machine Shop) for a hot soak, scrub-down, boring & ‘lift’! Should have diagnosis this week for planned 'recovery'!!

Had been in the Canal Zone for a while - so in addition to Engine rebuild & mechanical – lots & lots of rust, wood rot repair & replacement!

092719 Update: Finally got to ground on this GURL (‘Ground Up Restoration L’il Lorry’) and ‘Movin’ On Up!’

Welcome indeed from another (original spelling) Cajun - Canajun - Canadian!

Hi, and welcome. My Pleasant and Charleston are some of our favorite places, we have a few really good friends there. Lot of good roads for that car, enjoy!
