Found this forum while starting to work again on my 1960 MGA resto after about 2 yrs of it just sitting. Bought car as a dissassembled pile of parts but with about $4k of Moss receipts for new parts. Started body stripping and reassemble. I had built another A about 20 yrs ago so I kind of knew what I was getting into. Got to installing new master cyl (Lockheed), wheel cyls etc. Got brakes bleed fine but could never get ANY fluid ( silicon) to slave. Got frustrated and quit. Other projects got in the way and I quit. Now I am determined to get this thing going this winter. Found some things to try searching this forum but so far still no luck with clutch. Tried broomstick process, no fluid. Somehow the clutch side piston is not moving any fluid. Would buy a pressure bleeder if I knew that would work. Any suggestions appreciated. Sure I will be spending as much time on this site as I do on Ih8mud for my 1977 FJ40. Later Rick

"Welcome" from the Up-State of SC (Greenville Area). Personally I love "MGAs". We surely would love to see some pics. Don`t give up on the Clutch Fluid. Its probably a pretty simple answer that you`d get once you Introduce Yourself and Your "New/Old" toy car to the "MG Forum".
Hey; There`s a gent on the "Spridget" forum who goes by the name of "Gundy" who also has a "FJ40" (I think thats the model). Look him up. You folks just may know ea. other?

I don't know squat about MGAs but I know a little about
Land Cruisers. I like using a power bleeder for the Cruisers.
Motive brand. You'd need to make an attachment to the master to make it work on a MGA. I bought a spare lid for the master in the Bugeye to put a pipe/hose through the top. Haven't needed it yet. I've found the power bleeder very handy.
I'm an Ih8mud lifer.
Gundy. Club forums , mainly Upstate Cruisers and chat.
I like the hunting and fishing sections too.
I'd love some pics of the 40.
