Hello All,
I just bought a 71 TR6 and needed to sign up in a forum. I've owned several Triumphs over the years; the last one a 71 TR6 I traded in in 1978. So I got the bug again and picked up another 71. I recall working on my TRs back in the 70s, rebuilding engines and transmissions. So I'm looking at doing a partial restore on it. I removed the windshield frame (PITA) so I can replace the seal and then replace all the crash pads and install a new dashboard. So I'm looking for some good manuals for removing and installing parts and general repair. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Welcome!
As you work your way around here, you'll find many with varied experience and all willing to share. Good Luck

Thanks all. After I traded the TR in for a 280Z, I traded that in for a new '82 Vette. Then traded the '82 for an '85 and kept it until '2005 when I picked up a '98 Vette Vert with a 6 spd. So I've been into Vettes for a while but the urge to drive a TR sparked recently when I realized that I had a lot of fun in the TR. I picked this one up on Craigslist in Stead NV. I poured over it and realized it was in good condition. It would be nice to do a frame off but it is intact and seems like a good candidate to get it on the road and just drive it awhile before tearing it down. The frame is solid in all areas, the body is in really good condition with a fairly new paint job in white. It was a light yellow with black interior originally. I guess I should chat it up in another section. Cya.

Hi Art,

Welcome aboard. This is the place to be, kinda like sitting in the Bulldog section of a Wolfpack football game.

Enjoy, and send pictures and check out the "Pub".

Cheers,

Steve
