My 1974 TR6 is the first car that I ever bought. I purchased it in 1982. I am the 4th owner. It was my daily driver until 1984 at that point it turned into my weekend fun car. In 2009 my son made it his daily driver for high school and college. It was voted best car and was featured in his senior year book. Sometime in 2013 the radiator went out and the car sat till July of 2018. Since then it's been on its slow journey of restoration, mostly cosmetic. Paint, striped down to the metal, primed and painted, rechromed all the chrome, new carpet, resurfaced wood dash, new crash pads upholstery and foam padding, all new interior panels, new red line tires, some powder coating, new top and tonneau covers. Along the way some maintenance work was also done, stromberg carbs rebuilt, rebuilt the starter, replaced all fuel and cooling hoses refurbished the radiator and cleaned out the fuel tank. After filing the gas tank I discovered all fuel leaked out of the old fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and the clutch master. Finally it was ready to drive. On my shake down drive I realized that I needed a new clutch. When I took out the seats I discovered that the upholsterer glued all of my jute padding to the car and transmission cover tunnel and all of my new wool carpet was glued to the padding, even though I told him up front not to use any glue. So currently I'm waiting on my new clutch to arrive tomorrow to get this car back on the road. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Just like my carpet.

certainly sound like the car has stuck to you like glue! :D (just like your carpet) welcome we're glad you are here

I glued my tunnel down with out any problems doing trans work and clutch. What clutch did you get B&B or LUK?? I was never happy with B&B and this last year I replaced starter with a geared one and new gear on flywheel. ( chipped tooth ) So I did the clutch and TB that were not bad after many miles and years. It should be good when it goes to my son but no time soon I will put years on it before then. Madflyer

I bought the magic clutch from the roadster factory, also a new ring gear and slave cylinder.

If it was just the tunnel I guess that would have been ok. But they glued everything. I bought the original jute padding, now that stuff is s mess. Jute everywhere.

Say again about the fuel pump. was it OEM with the lever primer? and was it the fittings to body. I have fix others who had line fittings that bottomed out, they need to seal in fuel pump with out the fitting head to hit pump body. Roadster Factory sells the longer fitting ( part # 60142 )

OEM with the lever. Works great. I ended up buying the rebuild kit, not sure why, other then I was told that the original is good to have. I guess I'll use it as a back up.
