Hi, my name is Bill Brown and I am currently doing a frame off restoration on my 1953 MG TD which I've owned the past 44 years. I also own a 1967 Camaro conv. I have a question. What is the correct color welt used on a cream color body on my TD? I've seen both cream and black used. From what I've seen, this site will yeild me a much much needed information.

Thanks, Bill

Bill...hopefully your frame-off hasn't been going on the entire 44 years..WELCOME...look forward to your posts.

No not 44 years but the last 10. Several starts and stops. Originally started just some band aids but later was talked into a total every bolt off restoration. Intentions are to finish the first half of this year. Of course, that's been the goal the last five years. I think my bodyman that doing the tub is getting sick of seeing it so he is getting motivated.

Thanks Tony, that answered my question. I do have another problem, the cream welt I have, the color is just a tinge off. Any advise?
