Thanks you for allowing me membership to the BCF, having owned a few British Sports Cars over the years I have just recently acquired a 1976 White Triumph TR6, I bought the car as a "project" car with the intentions of spending the cold Canadian winters to fully restore it. I needs new floor pans and a small amount of framework however the rest is solid and everything is there in original pretty much unmolested condition giving it the perfect starting point to bring it back to life. In my quest to acquire some useful parts I ended up buying the contents of a small warehouse who had been a British Sport Car parts supplier and gone out of business, there are lots of MG, Triumph, Austen Healey parts, ( mainly lights, gauges, switchgear, original tools etc) I have not had the chance to go though it all yet but when I do I will list some if anyone is interested. In the meantime I look forward to going through the forum and learning lots of new things from likeminded people, Paul
 
Paul - welcome to BCF. How'd you first get the interest in British cars? Mine started in high school (1966) with a 1955 Jaguar Mk VII. Very cool.

Post some photos of your TR when you get a chance.

Hi Tom, my first car was a 1071 Cooper S at the age of 18 ( they were much easier to get and a whole lot cheaper then!!) that car introduced me to motorsport and constantly working on it gave me the passion in British cars, living in Scotland there was no shortage of windy roads to hone my left foot braking skills and mastering understeer ! I went on to be a Race car instructor and worked for Aston Martin etc doing product launches around the circuits in the UK. now semi retired and living in Canada I really wanted a car that I could work on myself, no "driver aids" ABS, stability /traction control , complex electronics, etc, just a big engine upfront -rear wheel drive - and me driving it. Really looking forward to stripping the car down and doing all the work, happy days.

Welcome to the British Car Forum. You have a good starting point with your TR6. One you get it sorted out it will bring lots of joy to drive!

Welcome Paul! You live in a lovely part of the world (I am in Prince Edward County) Not many curved roads :D but love the city. Potentially very interested in the parts. Did you by chance buy it from a guy named Brian? cheers
 
No , the parts were from a business in Sarnia called Obsolete Auto’s there’s a lot of stuff to go through, I would really like the parts to go to enthusiasts who want/ need them, there are even original ( used but solid ) early fenders and tons of light assembly’s etc, I’ll need to work out a way to organize everything. If there is something you need probably the best solution would be to send me a picture and I’ll see if I have any, be happy to help,
 
Ah OK. I had heard they were going out of business. Don't really need anything just now but, good to know.
 
This might give an idea to anyone, let me go through it and see exactly what’s there, already found a lot of stuff I need for the TR6 👍
