Cheers, all. Longtime owner of British vehicles, mostly Land Rover, but with a smattering of Jags, MG's, Minis, and even a GT6 long ago. Interested primarily in projects, technical info, parts, and literature.

welcome - also from Canada, great to have you here

Fiat Multipla Barn Art? Does that mean it's only a painting on the side of a barn, or that the barn swallows have "painted" it?

:ROFLMAO: No it means it is sitting in a friend's barn, slowly <slowly!> waiting its turn.

Welcome. Also from Canada. Close to lake erie. Dave

Yes, we are all over you, and we have stronger beer!

Greeting from sunny, hot and crowed Joisey... By the way thanks for the NS smoke screen. It covers the clouds of blue exhaust from my B!!! Welcome.

Funny you should mention that; we're located a few hundred yards from the mandatory evac zone. We have our essentials packed at the front door and a full tank. One change of the wind and we'll get 30 minute's notice to abandon everything we own that won't fit into a minivan with our herd of pets. At least we still have a roof over us, for the moment, unlike the hundreds who now own a smoking foundation. All because some arrogant trailing-end-of-a-horse didn't think the ban on fires applied to him.

Please be careful, as this is tragic. Dave

My son owns property near Canso. I believe this is not in immediate danger, but I worry for others

Appreciate that, Dave. No, that's the other end of the province. It's safe there for now, but the way this season is starting off, I wouldn't be confident wherever I lived. This is an unprecedented level of fire this early in the year, after a virtually snowless winter (again) and a dry spring. There have been fires popping up all over the province, and the fire services are emphatic that there has been NO lightning activity in our province in over a week, so all these are caused by "human activity". In spite of a total ban on fires, fireworks, or travel into the woods (including the wooded areas of city parks) and potential fines of $10,000 and $25,000, they're still catching 6-8 incidents a night of people with illegal open fires. One brush fire (thankfully, extinguished) was started two days ago by some yokel burning his garbage in a barrel. The fire on our doorstep started from illegal burning in a backyard, but they won't name the address for fear of an angry mob. The mayor said he wished he could institute a "No Stupid Policy", but we all know you can't fix stupid.

So true. Dont make anything idiot proof, they will only make a better idiot
