Hello all,

I've been checking out the forum this winter...no idea why I didn't find this place and join much sooner.

Years ago I had a 1970 TR-6, before that a 1978 Spitfire.

My true LBC is the 1955 Austin Healey BN1 that I've been maintaining since 2007, driving since 1984, and riding in since I went with my dad to get it in 1976. I love this little car.

"Maine"!! Does`nt it snow in Maine 10mo. out of the yr!! Just Kidding!! I used to travel on Bus. all thru New England right up to "Bangor"!! Pretty State but way to much snow, ice etc.

Hi Jonathan,

This forum has always been very helpful and enjoyable. The Healey sounds wonderful, but I've always approached British sports cars from the "affordable" end. Thus I loved my '78 Spitfire that I owned here in the late 80's - late 90's. It's one of several budget sports cars I've loved. My next one will be a '73 Midget that I hope to pick up soon..

There's a fairly active group called the Midcoast Sports Car Club, centered around Camden, that you might find entertaining. And Leyland British in Kennebunkport has a lot of Healey parts and expertise.
