I'm not sure what you mean? You are obviously registered, or you could not have made that post. All we ask new members to do is post an introduction about themselves in THIS "New Member" forum. Just reply to my post here and introduce yourself

Yep, welcome!

Welcome!

Looks like you've got a keen bunch of cars...tell us about them!

This is my first try at this type of website, so bear with me over my ignorance in how it works. I tend to be old and in the way sometimes.

LBC's owned:
2 '59 TR3As, 1 Driven (my 1st car), 1 raced in '64
'61 & '68 Corvairs, both 4 carb (loved 'em both)
Sunbeam Alpine (former wife loved it, me not so much)
Volvo 122S, dependable is all
'50 Jag sedan, pushrod in parts, wood, flower vases, bought & sold without ever moving it. Buyer was going to convert it to moonshine hauler
'46 MGTC 0442, England, Cyprus, England, NC, shoulda kept it
'62 Sprite (racer)autocrosser, 25 consectuive FTD in '69-'70
'62 TR4 (CT5586 L) bought 1990, stored until 2008, now undergoing refurbish for a driver. Usual rust issues, floor pans, inner & outer sills & rockers.
Aqired wrecked, rust free, really (except batt tray) TR4A for floors, sills, etc. Got good engine, od trans, wires, instruments, new tank (bent), newish interior, and some usable panels in the bargin. Free delivery!

Have had a lot of American iron over the years, none very memorable

I have done a little racing when young, and crew chiefed national SCCA champ.

Other involment is Bluegrass music (?). Have played with the same group, Southern Express, since '86.

I am favorably impressed with BCF and hope that we can help each other. I am ignorant about such things as the changes to oil and brake fluid formulations, where to find stuff, etc. I'll be looking for help on these and other issues, too.

Glad to be a part of the group.

Welcome, indeed!

As for being "old school" - don't give it a second thought. Many of us here in the same boat, and the cars are old school, as well. Hence, as for the oil and fluid considerations, you can't go wrong if you stick with the old stuff. After all, it was made for our cars!

(Also an ex-Corvair owner, and miss it as well!)
