Hi my name is Mario. I bought a 79 Midget on ebay about five weeks ago. Sound body, great interior. We're still working on the rest. It's the first classic import I've owned since my VW fastback about seven years ago, but a previous know-it-all owner shot me in the foot before I could get out of the gate w/that one. Now I'm in love again, but this time w/a lilttle orange Brit. I'm glad to be here...among wise and helpful friends! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Greetings,
You're in my neck of the woods. I own a dark green 1970 RWA midget. There is a british sports car club in Louisville https://www.britishsportscarclub.com . What type of mechanical issues are you facing?

Greetings to you both! I too live in Louisville. I bought a yellow 72 Midget a few months ago. Maybe we'll encounter each other on the open road somewhere -- and hopefully not on the side of the road somewhere. I haven't joined the BSCCKY but am considering doing so. I've heard they're a good bunch of guys.

The club is heading into "winter" mode. There are fewer drives and shows to attend, but there are always monthly meetings, bash planning, and possibly some tech sessions during the winter months. I attend the meetings most months (there isn't one in Dec. because of the holiday party), but there is one in on Nov. 18th at KT's on Lexington Rd at Grinstead. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm, but people start arriving about 6:40. You do not need to join to attend the meetings. If your car needs some work that can be tackled in a tech session, it is a way to get some help and make some new friends.

I don't live any near Lousville, and would still like to welcome you both to the forum.

Amphibispridgit- that sounds interesting. Does it float or is it just a vailed reference to a frogeye?

Hey, I've got a 79 Midget. Thanks for the "Welcome!" The meeting at K.T.'s sounds like a winner!! I'd love to meet you both there. I'll join as soon as I'm sure I'm going to be road worthy. It's at Highland Automotive and it's yet to be driven. It was an internet find in need of love. I'm not too good at diagnostics , so I'm hoping they can work out some kinks before I get my hands in it. I also hope I'll have enough to gas it up after the final $total$. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif
