Hi to all,
I'm a new member and just bought a '74 TR6. I've always wanted one ever since my cousin bought a new white '71 TR6, thought they were such cool cars. When my cousin decided to sell it a couple years later I tried to convince my dad that it would be my perfect first car at 16, well that didn't happen. Now some 46 years later I've finally bought one. Growing up I went the muscle car route and had a lot of fun and fast American V-8's, Mustangs, Trans Ams, Challengers. But whenever I heard the sound of a TR6 or any British sports car I'd think some day. Now that I live in a small town with no freeways around I've got the perfect two lane highway and back roads cruiser. I bought a good driver quality TR6 and am a fairly decent mechanic. I'm looking forward to doing some maintenance and cosmetic upgrades. First off to remove the rubber bumper over riders and work on either refinishing the wood dash or replacing it. Being that my TR6 is strictly a spring, summer weekend cruiser and not a daily driver I'm looking forward to having a blast. I'll look to this forum for ideas and assistance in keeping my TR6 road worthy.
Thanks Bret
