Hi guys, Mike LaRose here. I'm a new member from St. Louis. I have a 1974 Triumph Tr6. Currently I'm working on my ignition system. I read that I should have the ballast resistor wire, which it looks like what I have. But my coil is 3.5 ohms. Oh well Hope to figure out what I'm doing. It's great to be a member.

Thanks, God Bless

Welcome to the BCF, Mike! I used to live just across the river in Troy, IL (when I was stationed at Scott AFB). In fact I bought my 78 Spitfire (which I still have) from a guy in St Charles.

If you have any specific TR questions, be sure to post them in our Triumph forum.

That ballast wire is white with a fiber cover. It keep the point from burning up with that coil. Madflyer
