General TR New Low for Ebay

The trouble with cutting pieces out of bootlids and then welding a piece back in is that they dont have much curvature and the original pressing leaves some internal stress. So they are hard to weld without introducing wavy distortion.

Of course you can dolly this out after but it's quite a bit of work to get them back right.

If these are still strong but just pitted I might try lead-loading.

I've a local place that can blast-clean these without damaging them. Sometimes he uses walnut-shells. Really.

Hi Randall, like you I have some reservations about quality with parts from India.

But this is funded by the TR-register spares development fund, maybe jointly with Moss.
So there will be some knowledgable people involved.
Like the chap that ran the original TR works rally team for example.
