I looked all over my profile and can't figure out how I might have it set to "privacy".

Hi Dean,
Under "My Stuff" look in "my Preferences". Most of the way down the list will be the option "Accept private messages from other users?", click on the "yes" radio button and then click "submit" at the bottom.

I had to send back two of the four that I purchased from Moss about 8 years ago. The chrome was very poor, cloudy and thin in areas and wavy in others. The replacements were somewhat better. Of course that was many years ago and perhaps they have tightened up their QC since then.

I wish that guy Dean would tell me where he sourced his tire hold-down belt(s) as seen in his BN7 <top> frame thread. I asked, but got no reply, and he has his profile set so you can't send him personal correspondence...

Hey. I resemble that comment. I looked all over my profile and can't figure out how I might have it set to "privacy". I made the belt set and can take a few more pics once I return to town. They are really quite easy to create.

If you know how to change my profile setting, please do tell. I don't mean to be illusive

Some pictures would be great; you can't take too many, nor be too detailed.

At the top of every page, below the header, you'll see a list of tabs (horizontal across the top):

Click on the *My Stuff* tab, and you'll get a drop-down menu. From there, click on: *Edit Preferrences*

Inside *Edit Preferrence* down towards the bottom (just above the *time format*) you'll see choices for accepting private messages.

If it turns out that your setting is already set to accept them, then you should notify Basil (site administrator) or Editor Reid (our moderator) as something's not working right.
